There’s nothing about it that merits the time or effort. Other than that, I liked it. Furthermore, I liked how nicely Amelia Atwater Rhodes tied everything up. mj I wanted more and I got more! Some of them are great, but they kill people even though they mh have to. She wasn’t afraid of the vampires and didn’t give a single fuck about the rest of fellow humans, the witches, or the vampire hunters.
But I have a hard time blaming Miss Atwater-Rhodes for this. Atwater-Rhodes strikes a nice balance between realistic fiction and fantasy with her characters. The title of the book is actually the last line of this poem and I liked that she linked them as to not take complete credit.
Demon in My View is a beautifully written novel and one that I personally can identify with because the author was atwated-rhodes fourteen I believe when she started to get her work published.
But I really didn’t like him being a vampire. The events and some of the characters went by too fast or were described too quick but other than that it still is worth re-reading over and over and over again.
Aubrey bears a striking resemblance to one of Jessica’s vampire characters and seems to be stalking her. Also felt like ‘Jessica’ was really ‘Amelia Atwater-Rhodes’, who then tried to make her come across ammelia strong, beautiful and aloof, when in fact I found her incredibly rude and stupid.

Of course this is why it is so confusing to write sequels, because you know for sure that someone hehe, I’m guilty will pick up the middle book in the series or, like, the 16th, if you’re talking Discworld and they will be utterly atwater-rhoses completely lost.

The ideas just come to her and she almost has powers. I still want her dead. Reading Hawksong reminded me how talented I thought she was and made me want to read more of her books, but alas my library only had Hawksong and Shattered Mirror. The two biggest problems are a heroine who isn’t particularly appealing, and the atwater-rhodex tendency towards over-exposition.
